메가기획은 5월 31일(화) KBS 1TV 방송 KBS 아침마당 화요초대석에 ‘동백꽃 피는 날’의 홍보를 위해 국악인 오정해 씨가 출연했다고 31일 밝혔다.

KBS 아침마당 화요초대석에서는 국악인 오정해 씨의 국악인으로서의 삶과 최근 근황을 전하고, 국악 전문 엔터테인먼트인 메가기획이 제작하는 뮤지컬 ‘동백꽃 피는 날’에서 주인공인 분임 할망 역을 맡아 연습에 매진 중인 모습도 공개했다. 오정해 씨는 대중 앞에 국악이 아닌 뮤지컬 배우로서의 새로운 모습도 선보였다.

배우 오정해 씨가 열연을 펼칠 뮤지컬 ‘동백꽃 피는 날’은 2022년 6월 7일부터 7월 6일까지 대학로 SH아트홀에서 공연한다.

‘동백꽃 피는 날’은 제주 북촌을 배경으로 새로운 항구와 대단위 리조트를 개발하려는 사람들과 이를 반대하는 분임 할망의 이야기로, 분임 할망의 삶을 통해 지난 과거의 아픔과 삶의 의미를 되새긴다. 현대사회의 개발과 옛 추억을 지키려는 사람들 간의 갈등 속에서 트라우마를 안고 사는 할머니(분임) 역을 소화하고 있다.
